This volume covers the years 1834-1838 and is the newest book in this popular series.
This volume covers the " The Treaty of New Echota, which was signed in late December 1835 by a handful of Cherokee head men. This seals the fate of the Cherokee Nation, east of the Mississippi. The Cherokees are now a homeless people in their ancient homeland. The Moravian Church's missionaries record these events. The forced removal begins.
