The Talbot Library and Museum (TL&M) is proud to announce our new Obituary Index which may be found on our website. This index lists a large collection of archived obituary and death notice information--primarily from Northeastern Oklahoma and Northwestern Arkansas--compiled from scrapbooks, death records, newspaper obituaries and more resources found at the Talbot Library.
For your convenience, we offer this index online. Each Obituary/Death Notice is indexed by Last Name, Date of Death, and Date of Birth to make searching easy and accurate. The index may be accessed by the letter of the last name.
The staff at TL&M will be growing this index over the next several months to make even more obituary and death notice information available.
If you would like a copy of any indexed obituary/death notice, we make it easy by offering a printable form that can be filled out and mailed to our office. In return, the TL&M staff will provide photocopies --via postal mail--from the source(s) that we have indexed.
