He was born in Watts, Adair County, Oklahoma in 1930, the eighth child of Earl Leroy and Mary Miller Fisher, who married in Muskogee in 1912. The book includes many memories of growing up in the Watts area, history of Adair County and Westville, as well as many of the relatives and neighbors. The family operated the Future Farmers of American Camp on the Illinois River for a time, (later known as Kamp Paddle Trails). Mr Fisher’s story also includes his sibling’s stories!
