
Dr Bruce Howell, author of "1806: Settling the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory" and "Pathfinders: 19th Century Pioneers of Cherokee Territory" will be the guest speaker.
Dr. Howell is a retired educator. He was the Superintendent of Tulsa Public Schools twice and was Dean of the College of Education at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Howell retired to the Grand Lake area in 1993 and has pursuing his interest in Oklahoma history ever since.
