New Book in Store: 1806-The Exploration & Settlement of the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory9/7/2015  A new book is now available in our online book store and at our library in Colcord, OK!!
1806: The Exploration & Settlement of the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory -- by D. Bruce Howell The book covers the earlier history of the area, beginning with the explorers, and history of the Three Forks area where the three rivers, Arkansas, Grand and Verdigris all meet. “1806” describes the many events in that century leading up to Oklahoma statehood in 1907 in what is now northeast Oklahoma.
