Great new book in store and online! Pathfinders: 19th Century Pioneers of Cherokee Territory

This book is newly published in December 2016 by D. Bruce Howell.  He is  author of previously published books concerning history of Northeastern Oklahoma, “Echoes From the Past” (two volumes); and a chronological history, “1806, The Exploration and Settlement of the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory”.  The pathfinders he talks about in this publication include: Explorers, Early Settlers, Cherokee Transitional Leaders, God’s Emissaries, and Nation Builders.  This book is a fascinating history of well-known and not so well-known “pathfinders” of Cherokee Territory.
