Call In The Dogs (The Green Country Series #2)

by Charlie Amos.  This is the most recent book in this series and was published 2026. It is a western novel, and continues the adventures of Turon Turtle, Cherokee rancher and his good friend, Levi Kuratowski, better known as “Little Kansas”.  This book is a very good story on its own. Levi is determined to set up a trading post on the banks of Spring Creek, with a license approved by the Cherokee Nation. Turon Turtle’s family, especially his sister, Ruth, are helping Levi to accomplish this goal.  An escaped convict, Bill Kirby, is an old adversary of Levi’s and determined to locate him to settle an old score.  This is an exciting story and contains many local places and names, as well as local history of northeastern Oklahoma.
