The Second Battle of Cabin Creek

A very interesting book about the infamous Second Battle of Cabin Creek that took place in the Cherokee Nation, now Northeastern Oklahoma, on September 19, 1864.  Confederate Brigadier Generals Richard Gano and Stand Watie defeated Union troops in Union-held territory, capturing wagons and supplies from a 300 wagon supply train.  The author has also produced a documentary devoted to the Cabin Creek battle, and is a member of the Friends of Cabin Creek Battlefield.
