A name in Cherokee is presented by the tones or sounds of that name. Its spelling in English has no bearing on its sound in Cherokee.  Mr Robinson is a retired school teacher and former Education Director at the Cherokee Heritage Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  This is the 1992 edition of this handy research booklet.
