This book by Charlier Amos is the most recent book in the "Green Country" series and was published in 2026. Most exciting about this new release is the story, which contains many familiar local places and names, as well as the local history of northeastern Oklahoma.

This is a western novel and continues the adventures of Turon Turtle, a Cherokee rancher, and his good friend Levi Kuratowski, better known as “Little Kansas”.  This book is a very good story on its own. Levi is determined to set up a trading post on the banks of Spring Creek, with a license approved by the Cherokee Nation. Turon Turtle’s family, especially his sister, Ruth, are helping Levi to accomplish this goal.  An escaped convict, Bill Kirby, is an old adversary of Levi’s and determined to locate him to settle an old score.
